One of the serious problem that is facing Thai society is abortion. This subject is a very controversial subject that has been argued over and over. Abortion is th destruction of the fetus or unbornchild while the child still in the mother's womb. However, in the society, there are two sides of this abortion topic, the PRO-LIFE, the person who against abortion or the PRO-CHOICE, the person who believe it is the woman's right to choose whether she wants to have an abortion.
These two groups offer different soulutions to this problem. The pro-life solution is to save the baby's life and let them grow. They believe abortion is not a good answer to avoid the ashame action. In contrast, the pro-choice solution is, every woman has her rights to make decision to take an unwanted pragnancy. However, from the nowadays news, the trend of abortion seems to be the pro-choice group since most Thai women decided to leave the child out of their lives. Although. the pro-choice group has their own reason and perspective for abortion, there are many affects occur, such as mental sickness, physical suffering and disease. Moreover, for Buddhists, destroying other's life is as a sin, which is greatly immoral.
Doing abortion causes many great effects, the aftermath of doing this immoral actions gives much suffering the doer. Therefore, is it good to kill an innocent baby because he or she is as a person that we don't want?
Let's share some idea...Which sides are you stand for, Pro-Life or Pro-choice?

I think nowsaday we have condoms or contraception, also we have quickly contraception to protect pranancy. It didn't excuse to make an abortion. At least, in Thai norm we have belief in บาป and บุญ. Also, someone said บาป can chase and catch us in the day of our life. So be CAREFUL if you think to do the abortion!

I am taking the side of PRO-CHOICE because sometimes some women face unwanted babies because of raping by strangers.I am sure that some of these women want to have an abortion because their babies father is a rapist. Also these women probably hate the babies even though they are not born yet.If these women can not be a good mother and raise their baby to be good citizen,maybe they shouls have an abortion.
I know that having abortion is againt Thai norm, however women should be able to make their own choice and decide for their own sake.

I think it's the right of women to choose their lives. Although it is ashame to have an abortion, it might be a choice to avoid some following problems. It is the responsibility of pregnat women to choose. If what they choose-have an abortion Or have a baby-is what they want based on morality, it might be a good way. It is true, in this case of unwanted pregnancy, that having an abortion is a kind of breaking morality BUT it can be a good way to avoid problems which are going to happen to a baby in the future.

I take side of Pro-Choice. I think abortion is the best solution to the women who do not want to keep their child. The babies which is born by unwanted of their parent would create a social problem. They will lack of love and warm from the parent. It is so painful for them if they are leaved by the person who give them life. Even though, I know that it is a sin to kill the innocent life. It is better than give them life but there are nobody brought them up.
However, those aborting women should be blamed for some of their action that do not save themselve by using condom or having a contraceptions. The unwanted babies is not the victim of their unresponsibility.
